There have now been a confirmed 21 cases of West Nile Virus infection in Georgia, including 2 deaths. The virus, which is spread by mosquito bites, has now been found throughout the USA. Though most infections are mild or entirely asymptomatic, about 1 in 150 people with West Nile Virus have severe neurologic symptoms.
