No Flumist this year

Based on the most recent studies, the CDC has recommended that we stop using Flumist (the intranasal squirt flu vaccine.) Bottom line: it just isn’t working well. The injected vaccine works far better. Further details are in my blog post.

Vaccination against influenza remains the best way to protect your family and our communities. We will try to get enough injectable flu doses for all of our patients and families, but we anticipate that there may be an insufficient supply. It will be especially important to try to get your family in for flu vaccines as soon as we have shots available. We’ll let you know!
