In January, we’ll be switching over to a new, state-of-the-art electronic medical records system. We were among the first pediatric practices in the area to start using an EMR in 2003, and the technology and capabilities of these kinds of systems has grown tremendously since then. It’s time for an update!
You can look forward to the following great new services from our pediatric practice:
- Secure messaging — you’ll be able to send and receive messages requesting appointments or asking clinical questions of our doctors or nurses.
- A full-featured portal — to review and update health history, retrieve lab results, retrieve copies of visit notes, review and pay bills, and more!
There will be many other new features and benefits we’re sure you’ll enjoy. What won’t change is our commitment to good medicine and friendly customer service. We’ll be there to answer your messages or telephone calls — with no phone trees!
To help us make the transition, please have your latest insurance information available when you call, and bring your insurance card with you to your visits. We’ll also be asking everyone to register at our new portal. It’s free and easy! We’ll send more instructions about that when we’re closer to making the switch.
We’ve been working for months to help this change go smoothly, and we’ll have extra staff and physicians in the office during the transition to make sure your children can be seen efficiently. We’re not anticipating any problems or disruptions, but we’ll appreciate your extra patience during the switch.
